The first week back after the Christmas holidays. Famously a terrible time of the year, when the work-related blues are at their darkest shade. When you have to spend an entire evening packing away tinsel, trees, and hip-swinging santas. When your brain is a bit gooey from all the eating and the drinking and the snoozing. When you wake up and realise that you have to get through a whole year before you can go back to a life of doing nothing but eating and drinking and snoozing. When you have to do bloody tax returns.
Yup, no doubt about it. January sucks.
But like the dutiful marketeers we are, here’s another way of looking at it.
Christmas is over? Thank f*** for that! Farewell, annoying relatives. Good riddance, Michael Bublé Christmas songs. Cheerio, Elf on the Shelf. Whatever that is. Now we can all breathe a sigh of relief as we won’t have to listen to one of Auntie June’s stories for a while. The social obligations have been fulfilled. The mornings are starting to brighten. It won’t be long before we’re sitting on a beach, a beer resting on our bellies, enjoying the summer sun without a care in the world. Welcome to January, folks. A new beginning, a fresh start, a glorious return to normality. It’s the most underrated time of the year.
…
Now that we’re done doing marketing for January, maybe we can do some marketing for your business this year? Either way, we hope 2022 is a belter for you!
