LEAD CAPTURE FUNNELS
Alright, so, we’re gonna catch you a new client. *Rubs hands together*. I have a cunning plan.
First, we’ll import a rare strain of wild saffron from Kashmir. Then, we’ll take it to the seventh tallest mountain in Britain on a sunny day, and lay it on the ground exactly 4.5ft south of the summit. Then we’ll do a rain dance, and when it rains, we’ll sing the second verse of ABBA’s “Knowing Me, Knowing You”.
The next part is tricky. Basically, we’ll take the enchanted saffron to a kitchen in Surrey (any kitchen will do, but preferably one with a central island), and use it to make a vegan-friendly paella.
Then we’ll take the paella to the Hellfire Caves in West Wycombe, and leave it there for three days and three nights – but not before we take a picture of it and post it on Instagram (#plantbased). When we go to fetch the paella, it will have gone pretty rotten. Perfect!
We’ll then take the rotten paella and place it in our main competitor’s back garden. And then all the ravenous wild animals come for a bite, and cause havoc, and sh*t all over their house, and…
… Wait, what were we talking about?

BLOODY FUNNELS!!
In a nutshell, a sales funnel is: attention > interest > desire > action. (Cor, marketing theory at its finest right there).
Obviously, the first part is pretty important. We need to attract the attention of as many potential customers as possible – and we’ll do that with our lead capture work.
To generate new leads for your business, we’ll be utilising a combination of the following:
- Paid media (adwords, PPC, etc.)
- Owned media (web content, blogs, social media)
- Earned media (reviews, referrals, word of mouth)
Once we’ve got their attention, it’ll be a case of guiding them through the rest of the funnel until they follow through with a purchase. Not everyone will go the whole hog, of course. But the more traffic we pour into the top of the funnel, the more customers will come out the bottom.
Lead capture funnels are part and parcel of the Bloody Marketing Unlimited Package. All the marketing you’ll ever need, generating new leads and more enquiries.
NICE CATCH!
MORE ABOUT SALES FUNNELS
A sales funnel is a step-by-step process that a potential customer goes through before making a purchase. It is similar to a marketing funnel, but focuses specifically on the sales process. The purpose of a sales funnel is to guide the customer through a series of steps that will ultimately lead to a sale. The stages in a typical sales funnel include:
Awareness: This is the stage in sales funnel where the potential customer becomes aware of your product or service.
Interest: At this stage of sales funnel, the potential customer has shown some interest in your product or service.
Decision: In this stage of sales funnel, the potential customer is actively considering whether to purchase your product or service.
Action: This is the stage in sales funnel where the potential customer takes action and makes the purchase.
Retention: The final stage of sales funnel is where the customer becomes a repeat customer and may refer others to your business.
The sales funnel is a helpful tool for businesses to understand where potential customers are in the sales process and to create targeted sales strategies to move them through the funnel. It is important to note that the stages of the sales funnel may vary depending on the type of business and the products or services being sold. Lead capture funnels are a cornerstone of modern digital marketing.

IMPORTANCE OF SALES FUNNEL
A sales funnel is essential for businesses for several reasons:
Understanding the Customer Journey: A sales funnel provides a clear understanding of the steps a potential customer takes on their journey towards becoming a paying customer. By understanding the different stages of the sales funnel, businesses can create targeted marketing and sales strategies to move customers through each stage and ultimately make a purchase.
Identifying Bottlenecks: By tracking potential customers through the sales funnel, businesses can identify bottlenecks or areas where potential customers drop out of the funnel. This helps businesses to identify areas for improvement and make necessary changes to improve the customer experience and increase conversions.
Improving Conversion Rates: By understanding where customers drop out of the sales funnel, businesses can implement targeted strategies to address specific challenges and improve conversion rates. This can help to increase revenue and profitability for the business.
Maximising Customer Lifetime Value: By focusing on the retention and loyalty stages of the sales funnel, businesses can maximise the lifetime value of each customer. By providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and creating repeat business, businesses can increase revenue over the long-term.
In short, the sales funnel is an important tool for businesses to understand and optimise their sales and marketing strategies, ultimately leading to increased revenue and profitability.
